Adidas Dwight Howard

We were asked to help adidas develop the personal brand identity for Dwight Howard, adidas' highest paid NBA player. Dwight is a 1/2 inch shy of 7 feet tall, a wing span almost as wide, and has a muscular build that is seems unreal. We were given a creative brief and a broad array of brand personalities to pursue for this project. The exploration for this project was extensive and included exploring hundreds of solutions. The primary solution shown here is inspired by both comic books and Dwight's athleticism. Dwight himself played a key role throughout the project.

For those of you who do not follow the NBA, Dwight is the new defintion of the "big man" in the NBA: quick, powerful, & dominant. He is not even half way through his NBA career and has built up several NBA and franchise records. He is a 5 time NBA All-Star, the first to win 3 consecutive NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards, and has lead the league in rebounds for five consecutive seasons surpassing even Wilt Chamberlains record. This is only a small list of his accolades that appears to only be continuing.
